NetSuite Consultant – Backend ERP & Financial Configuration

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Consultant with a strong focus on backend ERP configuration and financial systems architecture. This role is not centered on reporting, dashboards, or saved searches, but rather on deep system-level configuration that drives core accounting accuracy and operational efficiency.

The client is currently experiencing inefficiencies within their NetSuite environment due to suboptimal financial and entity configuration. The objective of this engagement is to stabilize, optimize, and restructure key accounting workflows and multi-entity processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and reconfigure invoicing and revenue recognition workflows currently routed through suspense or clearing accounts
• Design and implement a clean and scalable A/R → Revenue posting structure aligned with best-practice accounting standards
• Configure automated intercompany balancing and journal entry processes across multiple entities
• Support setup and optimization of a new parent entity following recent acquisition activity
• Enable accurate consolidated financial reporting across a multi-subsidiary structure
• Identify and resolve inefficiencies within existing NetSuite financial configuration and backend architecture

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP financials
• Proven background in backend system configuration (not limited to reporting or analytics work)
• Experience working in multi-entity or multi-subsidiary environments
• Solid understanding of accounting flows within ERP systems (A/R, revenue recognition, intercompany accounting)
• Prior exposure to post-acquisition system restructuring or entity consolidation preferred
